Course Description:
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States.
Nearly half a million Americans die each year of heart attacks. Learning CPR and
AED skills can help to reduce this overwhelming numbers.
This program will teach you adult CPR and the use of an Automated External
Defibrillator. An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a device that is designed
to recognized life threatening heart electrical activity. Once life threatening
activity has been detected the AED will then direct the rescuer to deliver an
electrical shock to the patient. This electrical shock in combination with CPR
