FIRST AID AND CPR
INFANTS AND CHILDREN
(Daycare Provider)
Course Description:
This nine hour First Aid and CPR program is State of Connecticut sanctioned and
designed to meet the needs of the daycare provider. In the United States injures
are the leading health problem in children over the age of 1 year. Each year
600,000 children are hospitalized for injuries, and almost 16 million are seen
in emergency medical facilities for treatment.
Topics include:
This program will prepare the student in handling child/Infant emergencies.
Injury assessment, CPR, Shock, Bleeding and Wounds, Specific Body Area Injuries,
Poisonings, Burns, Cold and Heat Related Injuries, Bone/Joint and Muscle
Injuries, Medical Emergencies, Child Abuse and Safety will be covered during
this course.
Upon successful completion of a written and practical evaluation, the student
will receive certification cards in First Aid and CPR. In addition, the student
will receive a course participation certificate for Day Care Providers.
On-site training available for class sizes of six (6) or greater.
Program Fee: $75.00
This cost includes text book and First Aid and CPR cards and all processing
fees. A $20.00 non-refundable deposit is required to register for this program.
