EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN INTERMEDIATE

Course Description:
This course is designed to teach the EMT Basic advanced patient assessment skills, advanced airway management skills, intravenous therapy, placement and inflation / deflation of the pneumatic anti- shock garment. The program has sixty plus classroom hours and twenty clinical hours. Candidates must maintain an eighty percent grade point average throughout the program. The Connecticut Medical Training Academy will administer a final written exam. Successful students will be eligible to sit for the National Registry Written and Practical Exam.

Prerequisite: Current EMT Basic certification, current professional rescuer CPR certification, and one year active involvement with an ambulance service.

Program Fee: $850.00
This cost includes student text book, all lab and clinical fees. A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required to register for the program.
