Hazardous Materials for EMS
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120

Course Description:
This 16 hour program is specifically designed for EMS providers. It gives you everything you need in Haz-Mat education and training. This course covers pertinent Haz-Mat information in the awareness, operational and part of the technician levels.

Topics: Hazardous materials behaviors, recognition of hazardous materials, assessment, decontamination, triage, treatment, patient transport, physiologic factors of inhalation, and personal protective equipment, are all covered in this program.

This course comes complete with a 352 page text which includes 161 illustrations for better understanding.

This program meets and/or exceeds OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 and NFPA 473 standards.

Prerequisite:
Applicants must have completed a Hazardous Materials Awareness program within the last year.

We also offer the Hazardous Materials Awareness, Operational and Technician levels for Fire Department personnel.
